Why Pitchtree Exists
After more than 25 years bridging startups, investors, and innovation ecosystems across the U.S. and Europe, first as CEO of the European American Enterprise Council (EAEC), working closely with government agencies - EAEC got acquired by ENRICHers - then through academic/program roles at Temple University, Northeastern University, San Jose State University, Calstate East Bay University, and CalState Humboldt University, Sebastien Torre, our founder, kept seeing the same pattern: Tech entrepreneurs who couldn't deliver a pitch that convinced investors, and tech startups failing to raise, because founders and investors rarely found each other at the right time, in the right setting, while using a standard framework to peak and align interests.
Pitchtree was built around that idea.
The fundraising problem isn't that startups can't find investors. It's that they often approach the wrong ones, at the wrong time, with a story that isn't fully ready yet nor adapted to the investors (firm or person). At the same time, investors are flooded with more opportunities than they can realistically evaluate. Both sides lose time, and good matches get missed.
Pitchtree combines AI, a structured Investor-Readiness methodology (and training), and Knowledge / Human Expertise to fix both sides of that equation. We help startups strengthen their pitch deck. We show them where investors will see risk, and where they'll see opportunity. Then we match them (including facilitating networking/matchmaking activities and introductions) to the investors whose stage, sector, thesis, objectives, and personalities actually fit, with clear reasoning, not a keyword search. Better-prepared startups. More relevant matches. More productive conversations.
